Marketing handmade soap is a good way to start a home based business. It's easy to start and costs almost nothing. There is a way to start is quick and easy. Do well, and you can sell soap without ever leaving home. This is what I mean.
There are many, many ways to sell soap. If you try to sell a few bars of soap a few bars here and there, you may spend all your time and money and not sell much soap. Another way to go is to try to sell a large amount of soap in a hurry. That is possible in an event. Examples include festivals or fairs or craft shows. More to sell face to face than it seems however. There is a trick. Here's the deal.
A hidden secret "of the list." Is your customer list.
There is where the money is easy. Really!
Look, what you do is always follow up with your customers. It's the easiest way to make a sale to a customer satisfied that to a stranger. I know. They know their merchandise. All you have to do is give them a chance to reorganize.
That's easy. Get a simple brochure in their hands or, better yet, a small catalog. Then mail it to their customers and request an application. Keep a list of customers with names and addresses. If nothing else, just list the names of the controls. That will not get everybody, but it's a start. Then just a few of their customers better mail a catalog from time to time. If your products are good and have a nice little booklet, they are buying.
We send a catalog and ordered some soap about 10 to 20 percent. That is a huge response, and occurred at a time. Every time. Is the list. Your customers will buy if you give them a chance.
His client list is the most easy to make money if you're marketing handmade soap. Mail order customers. try it only on a small scale and will surprise you. At least us.
